These are some of my completed research projects (which is what I spend most of my time with, even though some of my projects are just a practical implementation of my research):
- Configuration of hyper-graph based feature diagrams
Thesis of my “M. Sc. in Computer Science” at Uppsala Universitet in Sweden.
Supervisors: Miguel A. Laguna Serrano, José M. Marqués Corral (GIRO Group Researchers)
Published: November, 2010
Document: Uppsala Universitet’s DiVA - Software product lines and feature models. A case study in the associationism phenomenon
Thesis of my “Ingeniería Técnica en Informática de Sistemas” (B. Eng. in Computer Science) at University of Valladolid in Spain. Unfortunately, the thesis is written in Spanish but a paper in English is being written (expected to be finished by January, 2011). Any suggestions of a congress/conference to submit it? :)
Supervisor: Carmen Hernández Díez (GIRO Group Researcher)
Published: June, 2008
Document: GIRO Research Group
And these are some of the manuscripts derived from the previous listed research projects, or any other project I am actively involved or have been in the past:
- Feature Diagram Formalization Based on Directed Hypergraphs
Miguel Á. Laguna, José M. Marqués and G. Rodríguez-Cano
In Computer Science and Information Systems Journal, 2011
DOI: 10.2298/CSIS100804016L - Software Interoperability and Friendly Interfaces for Assessing Interventions in Cultural Heritage Domains
P. Cadenas-Quijano, J. García-Tomillo, G. Rodríguez-Cano and J. Finat
In Proc. 1st International Workshop on Pervasive Web Mapping, Geoprocessing and Services, 2010
Please, e-mail me for any further question, clarification, suggestion, critic,… about these projects and manuscripts.
My (main) research interests (no particular order) are:
- Software engineering (software-intensive systems, model-driven architecture and requirements analysis)
- Ambient intelligence (pervasive computing environments)
- Human-computer interaction (usability and user-centered design from a software engineering perspective, sustainability)
- Product family engineering (variability management, validation and verification)
- Data mining (semantic web, internet of things, business intelligence,…)
- Computer networks (routing and performance on high-speed backbones, but also security, specially in wireless sensor networks)
- Medical informatics (bioinformatics, medical engineering)
I do keep a list of software projects which are in some way or another related to these research interests.
If you think I could help you with any of these areas or projects, or you believe I could be interested in something else, don’t hesitate and e-mail me! I’m looking forward to hearing from you! :)
